Greg was born in San Francisco on January 31, 1966 to Gregorio and Elena Arechiga. The eldest of four children, Greg grew up in Newark, California where he graduated from Newark Memorial High School. Growing up, Greg always looked out for his younger siblings, especially when travelling to Mexico. Beyond being just a brother, Greg’s love for his family and friends reminded his siblings of always having a great coach and teacher by their side.
After graduating from San Francisco State University, Greg eventually spent 31 years in healthcare. He began his career as a physical therapist and grew into both an administrator and business owner of multiple home-health care businesses, most of his time being spent with Professional Home Care Associates. What brought Greg the greatest joy were his two sons, Cole, 19 and Chase, 15. He loved watching them grow up and play sports in Discovery Bay, where he and Tiffany settled to raise their children. Greg is remembered by his eldest son as a very intelligent person who always had an answer for him when he needed one. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his hometown of Union de Tula, Jalisco, as well as Cabo San Lucas, Pebble Beach and Hawaii. Greg loved to be on the golf course with his friends. He loved to cook and he loved to dance.
Greg is survived by his wife Tiffany, his parents Gregorio and Elena, his two sisters Rosa and Patricia, his brother Carlos, and nieces and nephews, Andrew, Mari, Alex, Michelle and Zack.
In addition to his own family, Greg developed a family made up of his closest friends. He was a devoted, loyal and go-to friend to many. His friends remember Greg as generous, smart, funny, kind hearted and always there for anyone in need. Greg is remembered by his family and friends with countless shared good times, and he will be deeply missed by all.
