  1. I will miss your sweet smile and that great fun way you always had with so many people, you touched so many lives and you will be thought of forever, My prayers are with your family and may the heavens watch over you always~~~~~~~~~

  2. So sorry to hear about Bob”s passing. He was definitely one of those gentlemen that people will never forget. I probably only interacted with him less than a dozen at times via the opportunities be provided to me, allowing me to compete in his awesome Mr. Fremont Bodybuilding shows in 1988 and 1989. Bob was always so gracious, humble, generous and always the consummate professional. Both he and Roni left a lasting impression on me. The Cappello prayers are with Bob and Roni’s family and all of their loves ones!

  3. So very sorry for your family loss. Bob was an incredibly humble and generous man, full of energy, well respected by the community and will truly be missed. Prayers will be for your family. Rest in Peace, Bob.

  4. Bob was a huge part of a small chapter in my life…many men today can say the same thing, growing up as teens, becoming young men at Bob’s Athletic Club. He succeeded in relationships, business, and life in general. One of the most respected individuals I’ve ever known. Prayers to the Perata family. He was a good one! Rest in peace Bob…Heaven finally gets that Heavy Room!

  5. Our empty hearts will be filled with awesome memories of all the amazing times we have spent together through all of these years. George will never have another one in his life that will ever match the joy, happiness and love that you 2 shared. He praises God that HE put together 2 opposite men that had such a deep bond. And how will I ever find another to race corvettes and boats with??? We promised you that we would watch over the love of your life and Roni will always be safe with us. Our dear friend… Until we meet again…. George and Nanci

  6. So sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I started working out at Bob’s Gym when I was 18 years old and it was located at the Mission Valley Shopping Center. Everyone at the gym knew each other and made it a family experience. Many good times were had at the Mr Fremont contest and the after parties. Also the “tug of wars” that were held at Central Park during Pathfinder Days. These were all brought about because of Bob. I made many friends at Bob’s Gym unfortunately the list is thinning. Rest in peace Bob and condolences to the family.

  7. We are so very sorry for you loss. You and your family are in our prayers and thoughts. Take care and please let us know if you need anything.

  8. May God wrap each of you in His arms providing the comfort only He can give. We are sorry for your loss.

  9. I am so sorry for your loss. You and the family are in my prayers. Bob was my gentle giant with a BIG heart of Gold. Always a smile on his face and a kind spirit. He will be truly missed. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

  10. So sorry for your loss. He was a good man and loved by all who knew him. Prayers being sent to comfort all in this time of loss.

  11. Your Mom told me of your Papa Bob’s passing yesterday. All our positive thoughts and prayers sent your way at this difficult time.

    Mike and Jen

  12. Bob Perata was an amazing man, Ronnie and Bob were an amazing couple on so many levels! I cried yesterday for 30 minutes, Bob touched my heart deeply. I can wish, that one day I will be 1/2 the man he was! He is loved by so many. I miss you Bobby!

  13. Bittersweet time……he’s no longer here, BUT HE’S IN HEAVEN ! ! ! We know that for sure! Praying for your family for peace that passes all understanding. Love you all.

  14. I am so Sad about your Dad Veronica and family He was a legend in Fremont and helped so many people get into amazingly good shape even the Govenator Aronald was a good friend of his. Just the kindest gentle person.
    God Bless
    Judy

  15. I am very happy to know that Bob has eternal peace through Jesus Christ, his Savior, and now I know we will see him again because of that fact. My prayers are for the loved ones he left behind, that they may know the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ personally and have that same blessed assurance of eternal peace in heaven.

  16. Bob – God Bless You and KEEP WORKING OUT. As your former health club manager when your studio was on Fremont Blvd we had some good times building up the club. Your generosity and big heart was a plus and the membership was built because of you.
    I miss you.

  17. Bob Perata was a one of a kind man. He never judged anyone and excepted everyone. There wan’t a person that Bob wouldn’t have given the shirt off his back to and I believe that everyone who was lucky enough to know him is a better person because of that. He will be missed by everyone who knew him but he will never be forgotten. His memory will be kept alive by the many memories and stories he has left us all with. I am so very sorry for everyone’s loss and my thoughts and prayers are with the family. There is no doubt he is with his brother Nick watching over everyone just like he did when he was with still here.

  18. God Bless you Bob. You made a difference in my life the degree to which you may only now know. I never told you or complained to anyone about the demons in my life. Bobs Athletic Club wasn’t just a great gym to me, it was a home. You always treated me with kindness and decency, when there was nothing to be gained from me. You were a man of true character something sorely missing today. You never once raised your voice to me in anger or frustration even when I would leave the emergency exit door open after closing. You and Roni helped me get my tuition loans when my own family could but
wouldn’t. But most of all thank you for making me feel welcome. I will never forget the way you would greet me when you came in the gym. You always had that big smile when you shouted my name, and it made my day. Maybe nothing to the average person, but if you knew where I came from you would understand. The kind words of one man really can make a difference in a young mans life and yours did Bob. I only wish I had shared with you while you were alive the things I’ve gone on to do and that you and Roni played a powerful role in it all. My family and I own the largest multi-sport facility in the state of Arizona because I want make just a little difference in the lives of kids the way you did in mine. When I’m in the facility scraping gum off floors at 2am and my wife tells me I’m crazy and that we have people for that; I’m reminded of you and your father never being afraid to get your hands dirty. I’m hopeful that maybe my kids will catch me in the act of excellence and learn something the way I did. I miss you Bob and until we meet again thank you and God Speed.

  19. Sad that bob has passed. He always was inspirational and optimistic and treated us young kids at his gym like family. He was a second father to me. Could always go to him with a life problem and he had great advice and guidance for me. He was truly a great mentor in my life.
    Love you bob.

  20. The world was a better place with Bob in it. Rest in Peace Bob, you are a great man with a kind spirit and you will be missed more than I can say. To the family: our deepest condolences in this time of sorrow. God Bless you.

  21. He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. – Revelation 21:6-7. May God comfort you and your family after the passing of your father.
