My condolences to the family Rest In Peace
Dear Gill, Doug, Dale, and family,
I am sending my deepest condolences at the passing of your mother.
I have many happy memories of my Aunt Leonora from the time she was in high school to the time she moved to California. I was just little, not yet in school when I went with my dad, your Uncle Quinton, to watch her perform as a majorette for the High School Football game. I had a little baton and I practiced and marched around wanting to be just like my Aunt Pete… On more than one occasion, she put me on her lap and let me “drive” Grandpa Darrah’s late 1940’s Dodge! It was our secret!
I remember each of you as babies and cute little kids. …and visited once, when I was 18 in your home in Fremont. Then, the distance and events of life made my opportunities to visit with your mother very infrequent.
Your mother was with us for days however, prior to my dad’s passing… I experienced her as a kind, soft spoken person, interested in others, hardworking and I am certain loyal and loving to her own family…
I am sorry that none of the family from this area are able to be with you at this time. I do pray that you will find comfort in the knowledge that our Lord, Jesus Christ has made a way for each believer to enter into His holy presence. Your mother knew this well…
I will be making a contribution to the Missionary Ministry to Japan of your cousin, Zachary Motts, in your mother’s name.
Sincerely,
Cherie (Darrah) Helterbridle Bailey
Dear Gill,Doug, and Dale,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. I am so sorry that we will not be able to attend her funeral. You folks are very much in our thoughts and prayers during his time. I do want you to know that Aunt Pete holds a very special place in my memories. I remember so looking forward to the times that your family could travel back to Ohio to visit. I so enjoyed the times we had at Grandma and Grandpa Darrah’s, at Aunt Norma and Uncle Glenn’s and even times we shared at Mom and Dad’s cabin at Leesville Lake.
We will be praying that the Lord will heal your heart as time passes. We will also be making a contribution to your cousin Zachary’s Missionary Ministry to Japan in your mother’s name. Sincerly, Wendy (Darrah) Hunt
