John was a great guy. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace John.
Although I grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same schools I only met John about 5 years or so ago through men’s softball with my husband Mace. In fact Mace had just played with John the morning of his passing. I will always remember what a joy it was to be around John. Always a huge smile on his face and always so happy to see you! He was a true gentleman <3 The Angels welcomed a new saint this week, he will be forever missed. Our deepest condolences to the family.
Thank the Lord that John went peacefully and that his earthly suffering is ended. As we pray “…the Lord grant John rest in the place of Thy rest, where all Thy blessed Saints repose, and where the light of Thy countenance shineth forever.” My sincere condolences and prayers are with all of John’s family and the many others whose lives he touched and will never forget him.
Prayers and condolences to the Benavides family.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will cherish our memories and be grateful for the time that we had with John, both on and off of the softball field.
I am absolutely speechless . I was just thinking about him the other day and wondered if he had come out for spring training this year . Darn it . I enjoyed working with John at Gallade and I miss the lengthy Camaro conversations we had . God speed

Uncle John , you were always there for us! Heaven gained another angel. Please continue to watch over us. We miss you.
I feel so bad for Midge and his family. They were a great couple. He was like a brother to me. I remember the times we spent together and the things we did. Fishing, Reno, the Halloween party we went to, the picnics, 4th of July at his house, and once for New Years. He and Midge were great to be with.

I don’t even know where to begin. I looked up in awe at my Uncle John and Aunt Midge’s marriage. It was one for the storybooks that is for sure. I aspired to have a marriage like theirs. His smile was so infectious you couldn’t help but smile and be in a better mood when he was around. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle he was so many things to everyone. Always there for his family and friends. And always willing to help out who ever was in need. He will be truly missed by many. We love you Uncle John fly high. I’m honored and blessed to have known my uncle. He was truly a blessing in my life and I will miss him.Ă‚Â
