Resided in:
Discovery Bay, California
A father, husband, son, brother and a dear friend to many, Gregory Scott Arechiga passed away on October 14th 2019 in Fremont, California at the age of 53.
Greg was born in San Francisco on January 31, 1966 to Gregorio and Elena Arechiga. The eldest of four children, Greg grew up in Newark, California where he graduated from Newark Memorial High School. Growing up, Greg always looked out for his younger siblings, especially when travelling to Mexico. Beyond being just a brother, Greg’s love for his family and friends reminded his siblings of always having a great coach and teacher by their side.
After graduating from San Francisco State University, Greg eventually spent 31 years in healthcare. He began his career as a physical therapist and grew into both an administrator and business owner of multiple home-health care businesses, most of his time being spent with Professional Home Care Associates. Greg was an entrepreneur with a focus on social entrepreneurship whose work revolved around helping people as they recovered from surgery or hospitalizations.
What brought Greg the greatest joy were his two sons, Cole, 19 and Chase, 15. He loved watching them grow up and play sports in Discovery Bay, where he and Tiffany settled to raise their children. Greg is remembered by his eldest son as a very intelligent person who always had an answer for him when he needed one. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his hometown of Union de Tula, Jalisco, as well as Cabo San Lucas, Pebble Beach and Hawaii. Greg loved to be on the golf course with his friends. He loved to cook and he loved to dance.
Greg is survived by his wife Tiffany, his parents Gregorio and Elena, his two sisters Rosa and Patricia, his brother Carlos, and nieces and nephews, Andrew, Mari, Alex, Michelle and Zack.
In addition to his own family, Greg developed a family made up of his closest friends. He was a devoted, loyal and go-to friend to many. His friends remember Greg as generous, smart, funny, kind hearted and always there for anyone in need. Greg is remembered by his family and friends with countless shared good times, and he will be deeply missed by all.

Greg was the first boss that took me under his wing and really treated me like a PRINCE. I believed he treated me like a son, brother, friend. I was able to buy my first home because of this MAN. He was always looking for the NEXT big thing that would revolutionize HEALTH CARE. He was a VISIONARY LEADER who wanted BIG things in this LIFE. I LOOK to him as an example of POSITIVE OUTLOOK on a world use to the same old, same old. I HOPE to continue his LEGACY and take what I learned to the NEXT LEVEL. THANK YOU GREG. RIP. 10/23/19

Greg, I just learned of your passing. From one of our football championship teammates. 1983 MVAL Champs! I remember the first day we met was at football practice. I was worried you would take my job at QB because you had a better arm than me. The cheerleader sisters we dated that kept us side by side. You were the coolest, most kind person to everyone you knew, and forever smiling. But you never backed down either and the street brawls we got into together with knuckleheads still make me smile when I think of them – before we had to grow up and be responsible. Haha. Yes, you could dance and loved it. Your bench press and chest & arms were legendary. I love you bro. To Greg’s wife and sons – he truly was a great man that I was lucky to spend my teenage years with. He was just one of those dudes. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace, Greg.
