On April 20, 2021 Maria Carmen Luis passed away at the age of 75 in Fremont, CA. She was born in the Azores, Portugal on July 15, 1945 to Jose Dutra and Maria Thelma Mota Dutra.
Maria is survived by her children Vic, Joe, Arlett, Tina, and Rich; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 of her 4 sisters, Thelma Faria and Maria Silva. Two of her sisters, Maria Alice Garcia and Madelena Filipe, pre-deceased her.
She was a proud mother and grandmother, who loved her family above all else. She took pleasure in going to the beach to look at the ocean. Maria will be remembered for her enduring love and will be missed by all who knew her.
