We will forever remember the fond memories we cherished with Amma. We distinctly remember her visit to our home and how she sang in her melodious voice. May her soul rest in peace.
I will remember her as a lady with gentle and kind nature and who was so artistically gifted. She always came to watch my plays, to support my passion. May God bless her soul.

Mangala Athai was a very loving and kind person. She used to enjoy teaching me some skills of cooking whenever she visited us. Her laughs and making jokes in gatherings will be unforgettable. May her soul rest in peace.
Few years ago, I lost my mother and I feel the same again today. I had the unique privilege of living with her decades ago, when I was a teenager and was away from my parents. There is so much to write and share about her and yet I want to keep those feelings close to my heart because they are so special. While she is remembered as a mother, she was a singer of excellence in the Carnatic genre of Indian classical music and I have had the privilege of listening to her practice sessions. It is a very personal loss for me. May God shower his grace on this beautiful and remarkable soul.
Our lovely Mangala manni, with her contagious smile and laughter, with a mischievous sparkle in her eye! Remember all our visits to the Chennai home to watch cricket test matches and eating delicious food that she magically made appear. Also fondly remember the joyful times in California with her when Sashwath and Aneesh were little boys. Forever in our hearts – our favorite Manni ♥.

Mangalam Mami was a very cheerful personality. When we moved in to Chennai we became very close and often visited each other. Her laughter will always be in our memory.
The best thing about dear Mangala Chitti was her infectious enthusiasm, irrepressible vitality, tongue-in-cheek sense of humour and hearty laughter. Never could she sit quiet! I shall always cherish the immense affection that she and Eswaran Chittappa always showered on me- the name by which she addressed me, ‘Shobha’ still rings in my ears! The happy moments spent in her company are forever etched in memory… I am sure she has found oneness with the Absolute and that peace of God which passeth all understanding! Om Shanti!!!
I will really miss Mangala Patti!
She showed me a lot of affection when I went to meet her in Chennai at the age of 6. She took so much care of me and I enjoyed so much that I actually cried when we left for Pune. After a few years, Mom had a conference in Chennai, so left me with her. We played and chatted so much! I shall always cherish these sweet memories as she always reminded me of her sister, my dear Parvathi Patti who took care of me so lovingly till the age of 3.
We have such fond memories of dear Aunty. She was a kind, gentle and loving soul. Always had a smile on her face. It was always a great pleasure to see her. May her soul rest in peace. Our hearty condolences to the dear family. With lots of love.

Dear Raja,
Very sad and shocking to hear this from Dharman maama today 11jun. Mangala maami reminds us of her effervescent, lovable, and caring nature. Takes us back to many New year joint darshans we all had at Mangadu temple. How whole-heartedly maama-maami conducted Karthik’s Upanayanam at Samiyaar mutt home this same June in 1984. We will cherish those and all memories close to our heart. Her bronze voice still rings.

I’m deeply saddened by the news that your Amma (Mangala mami) is no more. Sincere condolences on your loss and heartfelt prayers to cope with it, from myself and all of the Nageswaran family here.
Though I wasn’t able to keep in touch with you all in recent years or see mami before her passing (it has been so long), I do fondly recall the good times together during our younger years. We will certainly miss mami’s warm & cheerful personality.
