Resided in: Martinez, California

ANN NORRIS , long time Fremont resident, died at the age of 91 on Tuesday, Dec 19, 2017. Born Anna Mae Rose on May 20, 1926 in Niles, Anna spent some of her childhood living in the very house that she later inherited and enjoyed for another 30+ years. She married James D. Norris Sr in 1944 and enjoyed 44 years with him until he passed in 1988. She never remarried, and now, at last, they are reunited..and probably dancing. Ann was daughter of Joseph A. Rose Sr and Ellen B. Rose, both deceased. She lost her only son James D. Jr in 2013 and is survived by her daughter Beverly and her son-in-law Bryan Roloff; her sister Dorothy Easton, and her brother Joe Rose Jr. & his wife Judy. She leaves behind three grandsons, James (& wife Angie) Sneeringer & Wesley Sneeringer and Trippe Roloff (& wife Kari). She also leaves behind three Great -grandchildren, Ian Sneeringer, Nico Roloff, and Anna Sneeringer who was her namesake. Ann lived a quiet life. She kept mentally sharp with crossword puzzles and scrabble games and reading. She enjoyed mostly being with her family, and she enjoyed lifelong friendships because she never failed to keep in touch with people. Ann was a warm and wonderful woman who was loved by many, and she will be sorely missed. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ann's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
