Beatrice Martha Quintana passed away on May 26, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1945 in Hayward to Bruno and Leonor Martinez, who have both preceded her in death. She was one of 6 Children- Armida Hayes and Bruno Martinez who preceded her in death, Lupe Rubio of Pleasanton, Eleanor Baretto & Irma Tovar of San Jose. She is also survived by Georgia Jordan, who she loved like a sister. She married the love of her life, Leandro Quintana in 1967. Together, they had 4 children and a foster child- Victoria & Jose of Fremont, Maria of Hayward, Angela who preceded her in death & Antonio Hernandez of Puerto Vallarta. She was 'mom' to so many others, as well. Beatrice retired from Fremont Unified School District. She was active in her church community at St Leonard/Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Fremont. She took great pride in the role she played assisting undocumented immigrants gain their citizenship. Her biggest joy was her family. She was the matriarch and hosted countless family parties and holidays. She was loved by many, whom frequently reached out to her for advice and counsel. She loved and spoiled her grandchildren Amalia, Leandro & Lorenzo Rigmaiden. She is survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
