Betty J. Carney was born on January 30, 1952, in Bayspring, Mississippi to James and Lillie Mae Milsap. She passed away on April 29, 2025 at the age of 73 at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California.
Betty was the middle sibling among three sisters. Her interests were fishing and bowling. She loved to travel and to visit her family in Virginia.
Betty and her husband, Tyrone, were married in 1970 and were married for 55 years.
She is survived by her husband, Tyrone, of San Leandro, CA; two sisters, Mattie Black of Columbus, Ohio, and Georgia Gregory of Norfolk, Virginia; her son, Kenneth Ray Carney, of Norfolk, VA; her grandaughters, Tanesha Westry and Christina Westry of Norfolk, VA; a nephew, Allen Milsap, Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews.
