Gail Paulson Blalock passed away on September 13, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Gail lived life to the fullest; keeping her days busy with family, and early on in her career where she served both the cities of Fremont and Milpitas until 2005 when she retired as Milpitas City Clerk. After retirement, she volunteered with Tri City Ecology, the Olive Hyde Art Guild and St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont.  She and husband, Tom, made wine under the name Toloti Cellars, winning accolades at the Alameda County Fair.  She and Tom traveled extensively visiting Europe, Israel, Mexico and all over the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, visiting family and sightseeing.

Gail was born November 19, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Walter and Frances (Rumsey) Paulson, and later graduated in 1965 from Buffalo High School, in Buffalo, Minnesota.  She married James Ranney in 1967, and later married in 1989 to Thomas Blalock.  Gail was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Merlin.  She is survived by husband, Tom, siblings Bruce and Lou Ann, children David (Kim) Blalock, Brian Blalock, Anne Blalock, Allyson (Moses) Cesario and Michelle Gonzalez (Brian Moore), eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
