James "Bill" Lawhorn

On Wednesday September 19, 2018, James William “Bill” Lawhorn, loving son and brother passed away at the age of 67. Born Oct 3, 1949 in San Juan Puerto Rico to William Leroy Lawhorn and Marietta Elkins Lawhorn. Born into a military family he traveled the world as a young child, until the family settled in Fremont CA. in 1960 where he was a resident since. He was a graduate of Irvington High school and then proceed to join the Marines. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country proudly. Once back home he worked in management for various major product distribution companies and later moved into the trades. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, sports, spending time with his brothers and later traveling the states visiting his sisters and spending time with relatives. Bill was a loving son, brother and friend. He lived life, he was a giving person and had a witty sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his father, William 'Bill' Lawhorn. He survived by his Mother Marietta Lawhorn, Sisters Sarah Rausch of Joplin, Mo. Debbie Martin of Grove, Ok. Brothers Mike Lawhorn, Lon Lawhorn of Fremont, Ca. Ralph Lawhorn of Livermore, Ca. and multiple nieces and nephews. Service will be held Sept 28th, 12:30pm at the Irvington Memorial Cemetery. Bill was loved by his family and friends and will be very deeply missed.
