Janusz (Jan) Kempanowski was born on June 3, 1939, in Jasło, Poland, and passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2025.
He leaves behind in deep sorrow his four daughters: Beata Kempanowski, Eva Kempanowski-Alexander, Claudia Groba, and Olympia Kempanowski; and ten beloved grandchildren: Nicole Wilczynski, Camill, Clarise, Dominic, and Seraphina Groba; Veness and Isabelle Alexander; and Taliyah, Jasmine, and Yarden Davis.
Jan immigrated to the United States on February 8, 1979. He worked as a machinist at Spectra Physics and later at United Airlines, where he remained until his retirement.
Jan was a kind-hearted, compassionate, humble, and generous man. He had a soft and tender heart and a quiet, sensitive nature that endeared him to all who knew him. He deeply loved his family and had a special place in his heart for animals. His gentle spirit extended to every living being.
He had a passion for music and found great joy in playing the guitar and harmonica. He also had a profound appreciation for the ocean and nature, often finding peace and reflection in their beauty.
Jan will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
