Jose Avaristo Quintana was born January 4, 1974. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Kennedy High School. He had some nicknames… Some called him HaHa, due to his deep, hearty laugh. Others called him Sav-O, because he was always up for anything.

Jose had a kind heart and was protective of people he cared about. He was always loved by his family and friends, though mental health issues led him to a solitary life.

He is preceeded in death by his parents Leandro and Beatrice Quintana as well as his sister Angela Quintana. He is survived by by his sisters Victoria and Maria Quintana, his niece Amalia Rigmaiden, nephews Leandro and Lorenzo Rigmaiden as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA from 5:30 to 7:00pm on Friday, April 25, 2025.
