Robert LeRoy McGee entered peacefully into rest at his home surrounded by loved ones on November 21, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Born April 28, 1940, to Charles and Esther McGee in Otis, Colorado. Robert or Popper was a residence of the bay area, but retired in Roseville in 2001.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Diane McGee. He was the loving father of Darcel, Kathy, Mark and his late sons, Timothy John and Dean. Robert was the devoted grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Phyillis and deceased sister, Maxine.
Robert served in the navy from 1959 to 1963 on the aircraft carrier the Hancock. He loved golfing, biking, exercising and playing tennis. Poppers will greatly be missed.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels at 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538.
