Roberto De Leon

roberto de leon

April 8, 1967 ~ April 21, 2025

Born in: Manila, Philippines
Resided in: Newark, California

Rob was born in Manila, Philippines on April 8, 1967. He was the youngest of 3 siblings, Maricel & Jerry. Just 6 months after Robert was born, Robert’s mother Cecilia flew all 3 children across the world to San Francisco, CA. When they met Robert’s father, Noah there, it was the beginning of their new life in the United States of America. Who would’ve known that 2 Filipino parents with a dream would start such a legacy for the Deleon family?

Robert spent his entire life in Alameda County where he went to school & began his career in the workforce. In the mix of all of that, he joined a couple country bands, as well as the motorcycle community where he met hundreds of life-long friends. Rob was an amazing singer and someone who simply lived life to the fullest. He made anyone in his presence feel welcome with his outgoing personality and infectious laugh. He had a natural ability to make those around him smile & be themselves. But everyone who knows Rob knows that ultimately, his favorite part about life was being a father.

Rob was a loving dad to 5 children – Joey, Kayce, Kyleigh, Madison & Cooper. Robert lost his first son Joey over a decade ago, and he now gets to rejoice with him in Heaven. Although Joey can’t be with us today, we know that Rob has touched the lives of Kayce, Kyleigh, Madison & Cooper in several ways, and his characteristics will live within them for the remainder of their life. He loved them with all of his heart, they were his proudest accomplishment in life. May Rob, an amazing son, brother, uncle, cousin, and most importantly, dad- rest in peace.

  1. CandleI met Rob during Covid along with a small group of riders who quickly became my moto-family. Over the years, we have put in many miles together and have shared many amazing experiences and adventures. Rob lived life to the fullest. Besides being a good friend and riding buddy, he was a devoted Father frequently taking trips to visit his children, an accomplished musician, a dedicated professional and an all around amazing Soul. His smile lit up the room and his sense of humor always kept us laughing. When we rode together, it was magic. While we will continue on as a group, there will always be an empty seat at the table that can never be filled. RIP Rob. I know you are riding in Heaven with the wind in your hair and a smile on your face. Until we meet again. God Bless
