On Tuesday, November 12th, 2019, Ruben Rodriguez, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 61.
Ruben was born on March 2nd, 1958 in Castro Valley, CA to Ernesto and Lois Rodriguez. On May 9th, 1981 he married his high school sweetheart Linda. They raised two daughters and one son.
Ruben was a life-long resident of Fremont, CA. He had a passion for sportsmanship as a baseball player, basketball and soccer coach, and a deeply loyal Oakland Raiders fan. Ruben loved Jesus, read the Bible every day, and ministered to those in need.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father Ernesto Rodriguez, his mother Lois (née Garcia), his brother Nathaniel Rodriguez, father-and-mother-in-law Leo and Connie Muniz, and brothers-in-law Gary Lineback, Leonard Cuevas, and David and Robert Muniz. He is survived by his wife Linda (née Muniz), his three children Salina (Kris) Shaver, Sheree Rodriguez and Ruben Rodriguez Jr, and his grandson Gabriel Shaver; as well as his siblings Ernesto (Kathy) Rodriguez, Thelma Rodriguez, Lucille Lineback, Paul (Gail) Rodriguez, Samuel (Nanci) Rodriguez, and Elizabeth (Les) Rehklau, siblings-in-law Kathy Cuevas and Mark (Jessica) Muniz, and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

We are truly sorry to hear about Uncle Ruben. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all always! I enjoyed going to church with him on Easter with Salina and the rest of the family! He always had a smile on his face and would make us laugh when we would gather at Grandma and Grandpa Muniz’s home. May he RIP, he will truly be missed! Until we meet again.
