Trevor Kenneth Ely

Trevor Ely, born December 31, 1988, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 37. He was a beloved son and brother, a once-in-a-lifetime best friend, and a presence that left a permanent mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. Trevor had a heart that leaned toward hope, even when the odds didn’t. He was famously — and unapologetically — hopelessly optimistic about the Oakland A’s and San Francisco 49ers each season, convinced this was the year, every year. That optimism extended beyond sports and showed up in the way he believed in people, second chances, and brighter days ahead. He also had a deep love for indie movies and music, always drawn to stories and sounds that were a little offbeat, thoughtful, or overlooked — much like the teams he rooted for. Those passions reflected his curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for authenticity. As a brother, Trevor was loyal to his core. As a friend, he was constant. The kind of person you could count on to show up, laugh hard, and make life feel lighter just by being there. His friendships ran deep, and his absence leaves a silence that cannot be filled. Trevor is survived by his Brothers, Tyler Ely and Andrew Ely, his lifelong friend, Jesse Diamond, Father Ron Ely and his Grandfather Irv Ely. Trevor will be remembered for his humor, his hope, his love of music and film, his unwavering faith in underdogs, and the love he gave freely. Though his life was far too short, the impact he made will live on in shared stories, inside jokes, and the enduring bonds he created with those who loved him. He is deeply missed and forever remembered.

Services for a Celebration of Trevor’s life will be held Saturday, February 21^st, 2026, at the Centerville Community Center in Fremont Ca. from 11am- 2pm.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Sports Jerseys or Team colors in the spirit that Trevor would have appreciated. Let’s keep it casual, as Trevor would have wanted.
