Resided in: Fairfield, California

Albert Galli entered into eternal rest October 15, 2018 in Fairfield, California. Born December 17, 1949 in Oakland, California to Dino and Eleanor Galli, he was 68 years old and a life-long Bay Area resident. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Galli; son, Michael Galli and wife, Carol; son, Peter Galli; grandchild, Johnathan Galli; mother, Eleanor Galli; sister Joanne Banducci and husband Michael; brothers, John Galli and wife Christine, Andrew Galli, Joseph Galli and wife Nancy; and numerous cousins, god-children, nieces and nephews. As a child, Albert learned to play the clarinet and saxophone. He played in the family band as well as the high school marching band. While in high school, he met his soon-to-be sweetheart Patricia, marrying her in 1969. Albert served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971, stationed in West Germany and performed in the Army Marching Band. Returning from the Army, he attended Cal State Hayward and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business, all while working full time and raising two boys with Patricia. Albert was a hands-on man and he loved showing it by helping others. Whether it was tending his garden, building fences and patios, or curing olives, grinding sausage and making apricot brandy, Albert always enjoyed working with his hands and sharing the fruits of his successes. At an early age he began working at his father’s produce market in Oakland, then in 1979 moved to Fairfield and joined Raley’s as a retail clerk, where he worked until his retirement in 2004. In later years he could be found out and about fishing, helping around his mom’s house, doing the same at his mother in-law’s house, working on his own assorted projects, or leading fundraisers for the local Sons of Italy lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations in his remembrance may be made to Hanna Boys Center, a teen residential treatment center in Sonoma, California, with an on- campus accredited high school, Archbishop Hanna High School, serving 8th through 12th grade students with at risk youth programs.

  1. I love you Dad. I wish we had more time. There was always one more thing you could teach me. The most important lesson you taught was you take care of family. And that’s what we will keep doing.

  2. Albert. will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He was a great friend and a better co-worker, those who knew him are better for having him in their lives ,I was lucky to count him as an extended family member, we took many fishing trips together and made great memories along the way. We conquered many projects together both learning from each other along the way. He was taken from us way too soon, I regret not spending more precious moments with the man some affectionately called Pops .Loved you like a brother

  3. Pat,
My condolences to you, your family, and Albert’s family. Tears are messengers of unconditional love……

  4. Dear Galli family.

This is Camille Pernell. (Once your neighbor across the street) Sending condolances from Amsterdam Netherlands. My brother Bryan told me.
I wish your family all the best. He will be missed. He was such a beautiful person, neighbor and we could see how amazing he was as a father and husband. That was visually evident.
Once again my deepest condolances, also from my remaining family members.
