Arthur Eugene Hagerty passed away on July 31, 2013 at the age of 71. Born on June 3, 1942 in Reno, Nevada to Robert and Norvelle Hagerty. Arthur was raised in Oakland and has lived in Fremont since 1972.
Loving father of Michelle Meade and her husband Shawn of Union City, CA and Robert Hagerty and his wife Patricia of Oregon. Cherished brother of Kathleen Adams of Polluck Pines, CA and Michael Hagerty of Hayward, CA. Devoted grandfather of Ryan Moore, Trinity Meade and Janessa Meade.
He was the Santa Claus at the Fremont Hub and Newpark Mall from the mid 1980's to 1997. He enjoyed cooking, especially barbequing, and shopping for cooking utensils. He loved music, especially Elvis and Motown.
Art was a hard worker, a good friend to many with a good heart. He loved his family and cherished spending time with them.

Tom and I will miss Art. He was a special person in our lives …we shared a grandchild and I am so glad that he got to see Ryan grow up. Art always had a joke he wanted to share and a cheerful presence…even as he struggled with poor health in his last years – I don’t think I ever heard him complain! You will be missed Art.
