He was a very hard worker, enjoyed the simple things in life, and loved everyone unconditionally. He enjoyed taking simple trips with his family to make memories that would last a lifetime. His final days were spent surrounded by family that loved and cherished him in every way.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Gloria Baca, they were inseparable for 64 years. He is also survived by his daughters and their spouses, Elsa Espinoza (Tony); Elizabeth Lagos; Veronica Oberst (Gerry); and Rebecca Ornelas (Pete). Aurelio will always be remembered smiling with a thumb's up, offering food to eat, playing the guitar, working on cars, or tending to his yard. One of his favorite past times was watching cowboy movies. He would say the scenery reminded him of where he grew up in Calexico; the trees, the open land, the horses, and the life. He was a simple man that touched so many lives. His heart was made of gold and his touch was solid as steel. He made you feel loved and was always concerned for you. Anytime you had an interaction with him, it was always one to remember. Aurelio's favorite sayings were, 'Whatcha Know' and 'Ah Common'! Aurelio often sang, 'The stars are bright, they shine tonight, deep in the heart of Texas'. His star will always shine bright.
