Benjamin "Bill" Alires

Born December 17, 1933, William “Bill” Alires passed away peacefully on July 12.

Bill is survived by Barbara, his wife of 70 years, his three daughters Nancy Campbell, Karen Alires, Toni Groenewold and his son-in-law John Groenewold. As well as, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Bill was a resident of Fremont for 57 years.  He proudly served his country as a Marine in the 1950’s. He then went on to attend Laney College in Oakland.  He was a member of The Sheet Metal Workers Union local 104 for 50 years.  Bill was an avid golfer. He will be greatly missed.
