Betty Jo was born on September 28, 1925 in Guthrie, OK and went to be with the Lord peacefully on March 18, 2013 in Fremont, CA. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years Clayton Rice Sr. of Fremont. Devoted mother of Clayton Rice Jr and Wonda, Rick Rice and Pam all of Fremont and Byron Rice and Elisa of Newark. Loving grandmother of Jody, Christina, and Richie and a great grandmother of Evan, Taylor, Carson and Cooper.
She was a great cook and wonderful mother, and had a positive influence on so many lives, she will be greatly missed. She was a hospital volunteer for many years, worked for Montgomery Ward in the early 60's, a dental assistant in the late 60's, and ended her working career with her retiring from Tinker Air Force Base in the mid 70's. She loved nothing more than coming to California to be with her sons and their families.
Funeral service will be held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels , 40842 Fremont Blvd. Fremont, CA on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11am. Burial will take place in Guthrie, OK on March 26, 2013.
