Brenton Tyler Dedrick

Learning is a gift, even when pain is your teacher Brenton Tyler Dedrick passed away December 20, 2017 at the young age of 32. Brenton was born at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California on August 13,1985 to Robert and Kimberly Dedrick. Brenton was the eldest of three children, the first grandchild, and the first great grandchild to be born into the family. On that day, a star was born. Brenton brought an incredible amount of joy to all family members, and grew to share that joy with all those whom he encountered. Brenton was raised in Fremont, California where he attended St. Joseph Elementary. At the age of 12, Brenton and his family moved to the south bay where he attended Sunnyvale Middle and Homestead High School. While attending Homestead High, Brenton became an avid baseball and football player, just like his dad. He was very talented in sports; he was especially talented in baseball as a left-handed pitcher and batter. Even after he no longer played, his love for sports never ceased. Brenton was an incredibly loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Mariners. The Sunday before his passing, the Dallas Cowboys beat the Oakland Raiders, 20 to 17. He didn’t get the chance to watch the game himself, but we know he was incredibly thrilled. After graduating high school, Brenton attended Foothill College and later transferred to San Diego. When his education was completed in San Diego, Brenton was given the opportunity to move to Minnesota where he held a job as a team leader in manufacturing and management. Brenton gained an amazing experience with the friends and coworkers he met in Minnesota. He often shared how much growth he had mentally by getting to interact with peers in and outside of the job. In 2016, Brenton made the decision to move back to his hometown where he worked for Rolling Plains Construction and was a union member of Local 300. Throughout his entire life, Brenton always applied empathy towards all of those around him. Brenton found peace in making sure others were happy and healthy. Seeing his friends and family strive gave him such comfort. Brenton always kept an open mind to everyone he met. He didn’t judge but instead decided to accept people for who they are. He found that everyone could teach you something, if we just listen and wait patiently. He often shared his excitement for the next chapter of life. He was eager to see what new adventure was around the corner. Even in death, Brentons next adventure had begun, because Brenton was an organ donor; within 24-hours of passing Brenton saved the life of 4 individuals with 5 of his organs. There isn’t a better ending to such a tragedy. Brenton will be missed intensely. Brentons experiences and knowledge will live with us always and forever. No doubt God will recognize Brenton, as a favorite son who loved life and although his time was shortened, he will always be an inspiration to all the souls he touched. His quick wit, friendly smile, and beautiful blue eyes are how Brenton will always be remembered. He joins his father Robert, his Grandmother Judith and other loving family members who have passed. Brenton is survived by his mother, Kimberly Dedrick, sisters, Katelyn and MacKenzie Dedrick; Grandparents, Philip Jarrell, and Bob and Joyce Dedrick. He also is remembered by loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. God bless Brenton, and lets all pray that his soul and soul of all the departed, will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
