Carol Ann Van Hecke Willard April 20th 1950 - August 21st 2017 Carol, 67, of Hayward CA passed away August 21, 2017 as a result of her illnesses. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer. She passed early afternoon in Newark CA with her family by her side. She is survived by her daughter Jessica, son in law Aman, granddaughters Taylor and Samantha Kashyap. Brother Mike (Pat) Van Hecke of Georgia, sisters Sharon (David) Purvis of Fremont, Paulette (Scott) Tabler of Pleasanton, Kathy (Mike) Mayes of Tracy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellen & Louis Van Hecke and ex husband Richard “Crow” Willard. Carol was a hair dresser for part of her life and loved her makeup. Even on her worst days she’d have hair done and her nails painted. She loved sunglasses. Her sweet tooth consisted of cookies, brownies and oh did she love her See’s candies. She was loving, caring and funny. Her daughter was her strength and her greatest accomplishment along with her granddaughters. She would say the only medicine she needed was her daughter and granddaughters. Her fried chicken and county gravy will surely be missed.
