Catherine Marie Bidwell

Catherine Marie Bidwell entered peacefully into rest January 6, 2017 in Fremont, CA. Born January 9, 1939 in Bellingham, Washington to Victor and Marie Bidwell, she was 77 years old and a Fremont resident for 39 years. She was a successful businesswoman who owned and ran six care homes, was a retired educator, and an accomplished musician who taught and played piano. She received her Bachelors degree from Western Washington College and also a Teaching credential. She will be best remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was selfless and put others' needs before her own, always a positive happy person no matter what life brought. Devoted mother of David Van Deusen, Mark Van Deusen and the late Bonnie Guerra. Loving grandmother of Taryn Van Deusen, Ben Van Deusen and Lauren Crabb and husband Nick, and great grandmother of Bonnie. Also survived by sisters Dana Ceder and Victoria Bidwell. Private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Mt Vernon, Washington.
