Charles F. Peters Resident of Fremont Charles Francis Peters 'Chuck' entered into rest July 3, 2014 at his home in Fremont, CA. Born July 12, 1939 in Ward, South Dakota to Joseph and Mary Peters. He graduated from Elkton High School, Elkton, SD in 1957 and joined the US Navy and served three years as a Captains Yeoman and Petty Officer. In 1961 he graduated from Greene's School of Beauty Culture, Rapid City, SD and started his own shop before moving to Aurora, IL where he worked as a merchandiser for Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co. In 1969 he moved to Glendale, CA and worked for H. Kohnstamm & Co., NYC, NY, transferred to Fremont in 1970 where he purchased Midland Advertising Co., in San Jose, CA and retired and sold the business in 1999. Beloved husband of 53 years of Colleen Peters. Loving father of Carie. Brother of Jean (Bill) Richardson, Buckeye, AZ, Katherine (Verlyn) Oveson, Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas (Sandy) Elkton, SD, Robert(Candice), Sioux Falls, SD, Rosie (Larry) Nelson, Lake Nordon, SD, Mary Lou (Paul) Martinez, Ione, CA, Barbara Jacksonville, FL, Carol(Mark) Collyer, San Ramon, CA, Julie, Andros Island, Bahamas, and Richard (Colleen), Lake Oswego, OR. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Chuck will be very much missed by his wife, daughter and friends and family. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8th at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont. He will be laid to rest at Irvington Memorial Cemetery.
