Christopher Lenard Schaeffler, 31, of Hayward, California, passed away May 9, 2014. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, May 19, 2014 at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, California. Private family inurnment will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery, Hayward. Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels is assisting the family with the arrangements. Christopher Lenard Schaeffler was born May 2, 1983 in San Dimas, California, the son of William Robert Schaeffler and Paulette Inez Johnson. He attended the Hayward Community Schools in Hayward, CA. He was until recently employed as an Auditor for Old Republic Home Protection Co., Inc. in San Ramon, California. Christopher Lenard Schaeffler is survived by son: Aidan William Schaeffler of Hayward California, wife: Tara Pitschner of Hayward, California, father: William [Natalie] Schaeffler of Chino, California, mother: Paulette [Ross] Johnson of Castro Valley, California, brothers: Steven [Desiree] Schaeffler of Hayward, California, Alexander Shomaker of Santa Clara, California, Jake Schaeffler of Chino, California, Kole Johnson of Castro Valley, California, a sister: Nicolette [Nikolas] Torres of Spanaway, Washington, a niece: Bailee Torres of Spanaway, Washington, Grandparents: Paula Sage of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, William Schaeffler of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Keith Bolster of Sammamish, Washington and Beverly and Wayne Shomaker of Santa Rosa, California, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and so many amazing friends. Chris was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Bolster and grandfather, Alden Owen Sage, Jr.
