Cleo Carr

Cleo Evelyn Carr, age 98 of Newark, CA formerly of Rig, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Newark, CA. Born on March 16, 1921in Vian, OK, she was a daughter of the late Zach Rias Lollis and Minnie Ann Parker Lollis. Her husband, James Glen “Jim” Carr preceded her in death in April 2009. A grandson, two brothers, three sisters and two sons-in-law also preceded her in death. An Inactive member of the Rig Assembly of God Church, she was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, sewing, cake decorating and in her spare time, enjoyed word search puzzles. Surviving are two daughters, Caroll George of Moorefield, WV and Glenda Baker of Newark, CA; two grandsons, David W. George of Moorefield, WV and Walter R. Baker of Newark, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Rig Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Taylor as officiant. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery at Rig. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) until time of services at 2:00 PM at the church.
