Conrad Arvin Donato Cruz

conrad arvin cruz

September 10, 1975 ~ September 6, 2022

Born in: Quezon City, Phillipines
Resided in: Milpitas , California

Conrad Arvin Donato Cruz, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 in San Jose, California – just 4 days short of his 47th birthday. He was born on Wednesday, September 10, 1975 to Fe Aurora D. Cruz and Hilario C. Cruz Jr. in Quezon City, Philippines. He was raised in Las Piñas, Philippines until he was 17 years old when he and his family immigrated to Chicago. Then in 2011 he moved to California with his family and daughter.

Conrad is survived by his beautiful daughter Vanessa Anastasia F. Cruz, caring sister Cecille Angela Pilar D. Cruz, and loving parents. He was a father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and good friend. His name suited him well – when broken down meant Conrad or “brave counsel” and Arvin or “friend of the people.” He had a charismatic and joyous nature that allowed him to make and maintain connections and friends easily. His laugh was contagious and provided those around him with an uplifting attitude. He was there to lend a helping hand, often times helping others before helping himself. Some may know him as “Dad”, “Arvin”, “Vin”, Kuya”, “Pinsan”, “Kapatid”, “Tweety Bird”, “Ding”.

Conrad attended College of St. Benilde – De La Salle University and Wright College. He enjoyed playing basketball, was an avid shoe collector (Jordan’s and Vans), was a car enthusiast (especially hatchback and stick shift cars), and loved his family and friends wholeheartedly and unconditionally (especially his daughter Vanessa).

Visitation & Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the
Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94538.

Cremation Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 4 pm, starting at the Chapel of the Angels.

Conrad will be taken to Chicago for Mass and Burial Service on Saturday, September 24, at 9 am. Mass will be held at St. Jerome Parish located at 1709 West Lunt Avenue, Chicago, IL 60626. This will be followed by Burial at MaryHill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum located at 8600 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, 60714.

They family requests that you have a cold San Miguel or Red Horse in his honor. Conrad Arvin will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched. May his good memories and the love he has shown live on in our hearts and minds.
