Dan was born in China on August 1st, 1934 in a small village in China and as a very young man came to America where his family settled down in San Francisco. He spent his younger school years in in San Francisco's schools and went to college at the age of 15. He studies at Stanford University as well as Cal Berkeley and in 1958 graduated from dental school and went on to open his own dental practice where he worked for 50 years. Dan loved fishing and travelling and has been all around the world. He volunteered in his community as well as in foreign countries and was heavily involved with his local Rotary Club. He was a part of the Alameda County Sheriff department as a reserve sheriff for 17 years. Dan is survived by his 4 children Michael, Janet, Valerie and Laurie and his many grand children who will all miss his warmth forever.

Sorry for your loss. I worked for Dr. Gan in the late 90s. He was a great man and he will be missed.
