Dorthy Marie Ries

DORTHY MARIE RIES Dorthy passed away on August 9th, 2018 at age 91. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Dorthy spent the majority of her adult life in California, where for many years she managed retail stores, and also worked as a certified medical transcriptionist. A lover of animals, an avid reader, and an accomplished piano and organ musician, Dorthy also enjoyed ceramics and travelling. She was preceded in death by her parents; elder sister Helen; and by her sons’ Patrick and Michael, and loving husband, Arthur, who was a retired military officer and businessman. She is survived by her youngest son David, grandchildren Jeffery and Michelle, and several great grandchildren.
