Eda "Edith" Rost

Eda 'Edith' Rost entered peacefully into rest January 31, 2017 at her home in Newark, CA. Born September 20, 1933 in Utah to Giovani and Katerina Astorino, she was 83 years old and a Newark resident since 1955. Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Conrad Rost. Loving mother of David Rost of Newark, CA, Gary Rost of Newark, CA, Diane Salvatore of Fremont, CA, Lisa Garcia of Sunol, CA, Christine Accarizzi of Fremont, CA and Marilyn Harden of Fremont, CA. Sister of Genny Jones of San Leandro, CA. Devoted grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She lived for her family that loved her dearly. Edith owned and operated Eda's Interiors in Fremont and Newark for many years, and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM with a 4:00 PM vigil held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Monday, February 6h at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish 41933 Blacow Rd, Fremont, CA. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
