Eldon Lowell Anderson

Eldon L. Anderson passed away on May 2, 2016 in Castro Valley, CA. He was born in Berkeley, CA on March 18, 1924 to John and Lucy Anderson. Eldon is survived by his amazing wife of 60 years, Lydia Anderson. Devoted father of Beth Swanson and her husband Pete of Tracy, CA, Eldon 'Dutch' Anderson, Jr. of Castro Valley, Mark Anderson and his wife Natalie of Brentwood, CA, Susan Alcala of Monterey, CA, and Douglas Anderson of Virginia. Devoted grandfather of Dexter, Dillan, and Monica Alcala and Jessica Anderson, and great-grandfather of four. He was a master Cribbage and Chess player and enjoyed Poker nights with his friends. Eldon enjoyed vegetable gardening and was an avid old movie aficionado. He was a WWII Army and Navy veteran, a devoted St. Mary's College Alumnus, and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of their first school board.
