Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at San Ramon Medical Center. Born & raised on a farm in Forman, North Dakota. Former Ranger who served in the Korean War. He worked for Standard & Chevron Oil Company for 45 years. Resided in San Ramon, CA for 25 years with his loving wife, Polly & his companion, Prancer. Loving husband, uncle of many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, step-father of eight & grandfather of many grandchildren. Elmer was a very kind, gentle man of few words who loved his TV Westerns. In the 25 years he was married to Polly, there was never a cross word said. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Frances Cady, brothers Marvin, John & Roy and sisters Mary Jane & Ezzie. He is survived by brothers Donnie & Jean and sister-in-law Agnes, sister Joan and brother-in-law Doc, sister Ruby & brother-in-law Doran and sister-in-law Deanna and many cousins.
