Erma Cabello Alegre

Erma Cabello Alegre, known by her loved ones as Mamang, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on the 23rd of March 2023, at St. Anne Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was 82 years old. Erma was the eldest of three daughters of Sulpicio Cabello+ and Adelaida Mondragon Cabello+. She was born in Jaro, Leyte, Philippines, on the 29th of September 1940. Erma immigrated to the United States with her family in the 1980s. Erma is survived by her children, Mariwalt, Winston, Ariel, Andrew, Ann Carmel, and Ann Christine; their spouses (Paul Rocha, Shirley Alegre, Anthony Bermudez, Rey Villamor, and Ivy Alegre); and her grandchildren, Marie Angelica, Anna Marie, Monica, Mariel, Xiomara, Bon Ryan, Brandon, Andrea, Nicole, Christal, Zachary, Agatha, Ethan, and her great-grandchildren, Miles, Maxwell, Jeydin, Liam, and Bon Jr.  She joined in eternal rest her husband Carmelino+ and her youngest son, Cesar+. 

 Erma studied at Philippine Women’s University, Manila. She retired from UnderWriter Laboratory as an Engineering Aide, a job she enjoyed and was proud of.  Erma loved to travel.  She has traveled to Europe numerous times to visit her children stationed in Spain, Germany, and Switzerland. She also enjoyed her youngest son and his family in Alaska and Arizona. When she was not traveling, she spent her day tending to her garden or spending time with her family.  She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lived in California with her.  She moved to Rhode Island/Massachusetts in 2017, to be with her eldest daughter Mariwalt and spent almost six years with her and her husband, Paul Rocha.  Mamang, we love you, and you will be missed dearly. May you Rest In Peace.
