Gene   Toy,   59,   passed   away   on   January   31,   2012   after   being   diagnosed   with   lung   can- cer.  He  was  born  to  Suey    and     Quoon   Tan   Toy.     He   worked   as   a   software   engineer.     In   his   37   years   of   professional   work,   Gene   made   many   new   friends   at   GTE   Sylvania,   Argo   Systems,   Minicomputer   Tech,   Nanometrics,   AST,   Spirent   Communications   and   Fotia   Systems.     Gene   was   dedicated   to   community   involvement   and   will   be   remembered   for   his   active   participation   in   WSLL,   Irvington   High   School,   Warm   Springs   4th   of   July   Parade,   Fremont   50th   Celebration.     He   served   on   Fremont's   Recreation   Committee.     Gene   is   survived   by   his   mother   Suey   Huie   Toy   of   Stockton,   his   loving   wife,   Kathie   and   devoted   children   Janwyn   (Corey   Klein)   of   Portland,   OR,   Jeannine   of   San   Diego,   and   Garrett   (Xong   Vang)   of   Fresno.     He   is   also   survived   by   his   brother,   Warren   (Cynthia)   of   Torrance.     Visitation   will   be   held   Fri.,   Feb.   3rd   from   5-8   pm   with   a   7   pm   Rosary.     A   Memorial   Mass   will   be   9:00   am,   Sat.,   Feb.   4th   at   Old   Mission   San   Jose.
