Evelyn was grandmother to the late Charlene Hammond, Raymond Hammond and the late Eddie Cross. Her long time caregiver Evelyn Villarreal also survives her. Evelyn was add avid calendar maker and loved to go for rides. A special thank you goes to those who cared for her over the years. Private services were held.

Evelyn, there is no way my sister and I could forget you. You probably don’t remember us. We are the sisters who took care of our mom who shared the same room with you at the rehab center in Fremont. Many nights I had been there and saw it all, tt just broke my heart but now you are in heaven and free from suffering. We miss you very much Evelyn, and won’t be able to forget many times I help you to get the nurse to give you some water. And remember your smile when the volunteers came to sing, you face just lite up, smile…big smile and it really made my day!
Btw, just want to let you know, our mom passed away on March 13, 2013…just a day before you! I miss you both very much!
