Evelyn Ruth Youngberg, a Fremont resident since 1964, passed away on September 13, 2015. She was born in Richmond, CA on January 18, 1943 to Ralph and Nola Hammack.Beloved wife of JB for 53 years. Loving mother of Jamie Youngberg, Mark Youngberg and his wife Kim, David Younberg and his wife Jennifer. Proud grandmother of Bryce and Braedyn Youngberg, Joshua Boyd, and Joshua Gonzalez. Devoted great grandmother of Alex Boyd. Cherished sister of Glen Hammack and aunt to many nieces and nephews.Evelyn was a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Westwood Manor in Fremont, a member of Inroads Christian Church in Fremont, and was known for her sourdough biscuits and gravy.Family and friends are invited to attend a 9:00 a.m. visitation on Saturday, September 19th with a 10:00 a.m. service. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Lawn, 200 Rollingwood Dr, Vallejo, CA 94591.

My heart is heavy with the loss of my cousin, but I know that there are now words to ease the pain that is felt by J.B. Jamie, Mark, and David, and the rest of the family. We are all better off for having had Evelyn in our lives.
I will always remember her practical jokes, her fantasic sourdough dough buscuits, and all the fun we had as kids on 13th St., at Clerarlake, and at my house growing up!
Those memories will never be extinguished.
