Fernando Dorame Nunez

Fernando (Fernie) Dorame Nunez, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Fremont, California surrounded by his loving family. Fernando was born on September 12, 1938, in Dinuba, California to Pete and Mary Nunez. He met and married the love of his life Martha Guerra on November 12, 1960.

Fernando served in the National Guard for 3 years. He attended Reedley Community College and went on to work for United Airlines as a radio and electric mechanic for 41 yrs. He was a member of The United Flying Club in San Carlos, California. Fernando enjoyed playing golf, fishing, piloting private planes, coaching little league and CYO basketball.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, Children, Ray (Celia) Nunez, John (Julie) Nunez, Karen (Tim) Chapman; grandchildren, Roman, Johana, Josel, Spencer, Tim, Ana, David, Diego, Sarah and Rebekah; great grandchildren, Jovie, Penny, Heston and Juni; Siblings, Pete, and Henry and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Pete and Mary Nunez; siblings, Eddie, Tomas and Valentina, grandparents, Aurelio and Ruth Nunez and Domingo and Valentina Dorame and grandson, Fernando David Nunez.

A burial for Fernando will be held on August 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Kingsburg Cemetery, 12782 E. Clarkson Ave, Kingsburg, CA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at Orchard Bible Fellowship 2400 19^th Ave., Kingsburg, CA with a reception to follow in the church hall.
