Florence Mae Rodrigues

Florence Rodrigues entered peacefully into rest March 4, 2016 in Fremont, CA. Born November 14, 1923 in Irvington, CA to Serafine and Mary Bettencourt. She was 92 years old. Florence is preceded in death by her beloved husband George Rodrigues. Beloved mother of Barbara Strain (Alan) of Charolottesville, Virginia, grandmother of Chad Strain of Virginia, She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Florence was the head clerk for Wes Sears Hardware for many years. Was a member of Holy Spirit Church, past member of Y.L.I. # 166, Past president of the U.P.P.E.C. Council #19, and was a past president of Native Daughters Parlor 238/122. She was also an avid bowler and bingo're.Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life 11:00 AM, March 9, 2016 with visitation starting at 9:00 AM held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to The Sisters of the Holy Family, 159 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539.
