Frank Moreno passed away on June 2, 2013 in Fremont, CA. He was born on April 14, 1922 to Ventura and Francisca Moreno in Madrone, CA. Devoted husband of 68 years to Ida Moreno. Loving father of Ernestina Lee and husband James of Fremont, Alejandro Moreno and wife Lilia of Fremont. He is survived by his sister Carmen Curtis of Windsor, CA, and his brother Ventura Moreno of Tracy, CA. Beloved grandfather of Manuel Moreno, Bianca Coronado, Gary Willison, Aleecia, Sareena, Corrina, and Angelina; great-grandfather of six and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank loved the Oakland A's, music, singing & dancing, and bowling. His greatest joy was when his whole family gathered at his house to eat and celebrate. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran having served in WW II in the Pacific Theater, founding member of Santa Paula Parish in Fremont, which later became Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was a longtime volunteer and former grounds keeper at Santa Paula and Our Lady of Guadalupe, and a member of St. Jude's Society at St. Dominic Parish in San Francisco. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. A 1:00 PM Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe, 40382 Fremont Blvd., Fremont followed by interment at Irvington Memorial Cemetery. Remembrances can be made in Frank's name to the American Lung Association, 424 Pendleton Way, Oakland, CA, 94621.
