Gibo was a fun guy. I am sure he will be missed by many. Stephanie and Gerald Telles
Rest In Peace Gibo. You were always so kind and sweet to me and my kids. We always called you uncle Gibo because we loved you and thought of you family. You will be missed and never forgotten. Rest In Peace and may soar like an eagle on your angel wings.
Uncle Gibo I love you so much!!! You made my childhood so absolutely wonderful! Every year we went to the fair the excitement of those races were invigorating even as a child! I will never forget you or the memories we shared and I thank you for always making me feel so special on my birthday! Rest so peacefully.. such an amazing man here on earth I can’t imagine the warrior you’ll be in heaven! Muah!
Dear Gibo – you were such a good friend to Renee the kids, and to me over so many years. I can’t count the number of times over those years that you came over to the house, to rescue us and fix broken down cars everywhere, and not just in our driveway. I hear Erika’s voice, many times, saying “I’m going to call Gibo” when she needed your car expertise and I’d say, “give the poor man a break!”
You helped three generations of us out with the cars, with my house problems of every kind, all of those things I/we weren’t capable of fixing ourselves and always up for a chat and visit. You were our go-to all around handy guy, but more than that, a good friend. One so generous to help your friends always, acting as if it was nothing, no problem. I sure hope Gibo, you realized how very appreciative we all were of your generous, giving friendship. And I’m glad your health struggle is over and I hope you are at peace with those you love. My condolences and prayers to your family.
RIP Gibo you are at peace now, sorry to hear of your loss. You had a kind , caring and sweet soul
Such sad, unexpected news. I have so many fond memories of you. I was 16 when you taught me how to play billiards “properly”, at the pool hall over by the car wash across from Irvington Post Office. That was 58 years ago, the pool hall gone, the car wash and post office remain along with all our memories. It was tough being the little brother of Art and Tony but you always stood your ground, while remaining a kind, caring, sweet guy who grew up to be a kind, caring gentle man .
