Gilbert Franklin Prevette

Gilbert was born to John and Mabel Prevette on October 1, 1936 in North Carolina. He passed away peacefully on September 11, 2015 in Fremont, California.Gilbert enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, photography, racing, and was an avid traveler. He was a former sprint car racer He also enjoyed old style country music. Gilbert was a mechanic for Nissan, and a member of the Northern California Skippers Club.Gilbert is survived by his son John R. Prevette (Paulette) of Tracy, Kathy Schurman (Bob) of Marquette Heights, Illinois; Janie Thornley of Las Vegas, Nevada; his niece Rebecca A Camara and the girls.The family will be holding private family services.
