Harriet Joan Harms passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 04, 2017. Born in Portland, Oregon on January 24, 1944 to Harry and Virginia Carlson, she lived most of her adult life in Fremont, California, finally settling in Brentwood, California in 1995.
Harriet loved fishing, gardening and volunteering as a teacher's aide for grade schoolers. She spent much of her time caring for her garden, especially her bonzai collection, and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Scott Harms, daughter Kimberly Zimmer and grandchildren Joshua Harms, Jordan Harms and Kaia Zimmer.
A memorial in Celebration of Harriet's life will be on Monday, March 13th at Berge-Papaps-Smith Chapel of the Angels in Fremont, California.
