Hope Mendez

Hope Lozano Mendez, born March 27, 1928 in San Antonio Texas to Ramon and Epimenia Lozano, has entered into rest on May 13, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raymond D. Mendez and her four siblings. Hope grew up in Bakersfield, CA and resided in Fremont, CA. Hope worked as a dietetic technician for many years at St. Rose Hospital. She regularly attended church, loved family gatherings, tending her garden and traveling. Hope is survived by her one brother, several brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews, three daughters; Yvonne (Ron) Hughes, Deborah (Bill) Webb, Arlene (Joel) Heinrichs and her son, Abrian (Lara) Mendez. Her grandchildren include; Camille (Mark N.), Jeffrey, Marcus, Katherine, Matthew, and Olivia, along with her great grandchildren, Claire and Joseph Nakamura. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Chapel of the Angels from 1:00-4:00 p.m. concluding with reciting of the rosary. Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on May 20, 2013 at Holy Spirit Church, Fremont, CA., following with interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
