James Brian Carden

James Brian Carden, age 63, passed suddenly at home on August 9, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. James was born on November 21, 1962 in Fremont, California to Arthur and Gertrude Carden.

James worked for Fremont Chevrolet for over 10 years as a parts specialist. He was very proud of his job and earned the award for Proud Journeyman in his trade. He loved working on cars, shooting his guns and spending time at the family cabin.

James took care of everyone he ever loved and always extended his generosity to those in need. He made everyone he knew feel loved and supported. His family described him as happy, dedicated and full of love.

He is survived by his daughters Summer O’Neal, Shyann O’Neal, Sareen O’Neal and son, Steven O’Neal. Is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Gertrude Carden.

Services for James will be held on Thursday August 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538. A burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave., Hayward, CA 94542.
