Jan Marcia (Scott) Weldon, 72, of Redwood City, California, passed away on February 9, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined, via the internet. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Angels funeral home in Fremont CA.

Jan was born in San Francisco, CA on October 29, 1949. She graduated from San Carlos high school and continued on to receive an Early Education degree from Canada College. Jan was married to Patrick Weldon; they were married 51 years. She worked at Jo Ann’s Fabrics, OpenWeave, and as a pre-school teacher in Redwood City for several years.. She enjoyed being with family, sewing and knitting, singing, playing instruments, and camping. she was also actively involved in her church community at Rise City Church in Redwood City.

Jan is survived by her husband Patrick Weldon, son Scott Weldon, daughter Rachel Vasquez, grandchildren Mercy Vasquez and Adrian Vasquez (wife Joselyn), and Jaesyn Vasquez, great-grand-daughter Alaina, sister Linda Medeiros, nieces Julie Medeiros and Jennifer Medeiros, and nephew Michael Medeiros (wife Josephine), and other family and friends. Jan is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Virginia Scott.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
