Jane Kimiko Sato

Jane Kimiko Sato, entered peacefully into rest on December 5, 2017 in Pleasant Hill, CA. Born on December 6, 1947, to Masanori and Yoshino Kato in California. She married Alan Sato and settled in Fremont, California. She was also a residence for a brief time in Brentwood, California. Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Alan Sato. She was the loving mother of Alison Kubo. She is also survived by her brother, Melvin Kato. Jane was the devoted grandmother of Koji, Sayaka and Emi Kubo. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Milton and Kelvin Kato, and her parents, Masanori and Yoshino Kato. Jane belonged to the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church. She graduated from San Jose State University, where she earned her Teaching Credentials. She was a teacher off and on over the course of her life for various school districts in Northern California. She enjoyed scrapbooking, arts and crafts, collecting collectables and spending time with her girlfriends over coffee. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service, on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church, 32975 Alvarado-Niles Rd, Union City, CA 94587.
