Jean Velma Garnsey

Jean Garnsey, resident of Fremont for 53 years, passed away on Sat, Nov 22nd after a short battle with cancer. She was 87 years old. Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Bud Garnsey, her two daughters, Janet Mercer of Everett WA and Cathy Hoyt of Cheney KS, her brother Edward Ayers of Carol Stream IL and their spouses. She was pre-deceased by another daughter, Donna Smith of Hayward, CA. Jean was the beloved grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 10. A devoted care-giver to various members of her family for most of her life, she was a faithful Christian who loved to read, play pinochle and watch the 49ers. Rest in peace, dear lady... You were well-loved by many.
